Tony and Marie own a very successful restaurant.  Unbeknownst to Marie, Tony was carrying on an affair with their bookkeeper, Tina.  In 2019 Tony found a new girlfriend, breaking up with Tina.  In the midst of the heated breakup, Tony ultimately fires Tina, grabbing the stuff from her desk and tossing it out the back door of the restaurant, all over the parking lot.  Tina goes home furious and., after mulling it over for a few days, picks up the phone and makes a fateful call…

Join us for this very eight-hour workshop, taught over two days, where Tax Attorney and National Speaker Eric Green will walk you through an actual client case that started as a criminal tax investigation, turned into a civil audit, divorce, innocent spouse battle and Offer-in-Compromise.

This special workshop will include the following:

  • A review IRS criminal and civil investigation procedures
  • Taking the exam to Appeals and United States Tax Court
  • A breakdown of an actual innocent spouse case from start to finish
  • An in-depth analysis of IRS Collection and the Offer-in-Compromise program
  • How Reasonable Collection Potential is calculated by the IRS,
  • Strategies you can employ to help your taxpayer resolve their issue quickly and efficiently
  • How to charge for these services and create a whole new revenue stream

The workshop will include all the forms, checklists and documents that tie into our case study.  Attendees will receive checklists, sample letters, and tons of exhibits that they can use right in their own practice.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the Offer-in-Compromise process and how the IRS program works
  • Identify opportunities to help taxpayers make themselves a better Offer-in-Compromise candidate
  • Describe how the IRS calculated reasonable collection potential
  • Explain the requirements to qualify for an Offer-in-Compromise
  • Identify what is required to maintain tax compliance

Describe how to prepare an Appeal of a denied Offer

Due to the in-depth nature of this workshop, attendance is limited, so all attendee questions can be answered.

This program qualifies for CTRC Renewal.
