Sales vs. Marketing

On this week’s episode of the Tax Rep Network Podcast, Michelle Weinstein (Abundant Accountant) is back to discuss the difference between sales and marketing, and what tax pros should be doing now to boost sales.

To recap, Eric Green is a tax attorney with the law firm, Green and Sklarz. Many years ago, he started the Tax Rep Network, which is a coaching program for tax practitioners who want to build a representation practice. Additionally, Eric hosts this podcast.

Michelle is behind The Abundant Accountant. Simply put, she helps people grow their wealth, while gaining the appreciation of their clients. As a result, they’re able to enjoy the work that they do, and they don’t have to work with too many people—just the clients that they actually like.

This is the fourth podcast Eric and Michelle have done together. As the conversation progresses, the two chat about sales versus marketing, specifically the idea of leads: What is a lead? What is a lead problem? How to get more leads?

Michelle segues into an example of a real Tax Rep Network member (she doesn’t mention a real name) who reached out to her, and how she was able to pinpoint particular issues within his business.
