THE NEED FOR TRAINED REPRESENTATION IS HUGE!

This is the hottest growth area in tax right now...bar none!

Why begin handling IRS representation matters?

Because this is the hottest growth area in tax right now, bar none!

Don’t believe us?  We’ll prove it to you!

IRS Collection has exploded since 2005.  Why is that?  Frankly, the IRS has become much better at identifying non-filers, folks who have not bothered to file their tax returns.  Between the IRS matching of third party information, its automated under-reporter system and its automated substitute for return system taxpayers are finding it difficult to hide.  The IRS, upon finding these tax delinquents, begins the process of assessing the back taxes.  This multi-year tax debt, with a 25% failure to file penalty and a 25% failure to pay penalty lopped on top, becomes unmanageable.  The taxpayer will never be able to pay it in full.

That is when they come to see us, and we resolve the issue for them, providing a very specialized and high demand service.  It goes without saying that we are paid appropriately for our services.

THE FACTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES:

According to the IRS, 43% of taxpayers now prepare their own tax returns, and this is expected to grow substantially due to the 2017 tax act and free filing programs!

According to the National Society of Accountants, the average fee for a 1040 in America is $261. The average fee for resolving a federal tax debt can be in excess of $7,500!

Given that people no longer leave the government for private practice, fewer lawyers are practicing in this area and the need for trained professionals to help is exploding!

JUST HOW LARGE IS THE PROBLEM?

According to the IRS 2017 Databook there are almost 14.1 million taxpayer accounts in the IRS collection division inventory, but that is not the entire story.  Below are the statistics – directly from the IRS Datebooks:

NOTICE A TREND YET?

  • And by-the-way: the IRS problem is not the only problem!

  • What about the state?

  • What about getting those back returns done?

  • What about the bookkeeping?

  • What about the ongoing client relationship you will have after the problem is sorted out?

2005 - 6,478,000
2006 - 7,074,000
2007 - 8,240,000
2008 - 9,232,000
2009 - 9,667,000
2010 - 10,391,000
2011 - 10,809,000
2012 - 11,464,000
2013 - 11,721,000
2014 - 12,400,000
2015 - 13,371,000
2016 - 14,005,000
2017 - 14,080,000

As collection explodes taxpayers need professional help sorting out their issues.  Tax Rep LLC provides training and knowledge directly to tax practitioners (we do not deal with taxpayers).  We are here to bridge the gap between instruction and actual practice: someone the tax professionals can pick up the phone and call when they have a sticky issue.  Knowing you have a team of tax attorneys who actually teach this stuff to fall back on when things get hot makes all the difference in the world!
