Can I claim childcare expenses if the stay-at-home spouse is disabled?
Normally stay at home parents would negate the need for childcare expenses. Here, we have a spouse that is unable to care for the child, necessitating the childcare expenses. I would claim the expenses, explaining that the stay-at-home parent is unable to care for the child and get medical documentation that supports the claim.
