I have a married couple that owe taxes independently from before marriage and now owe for the last several years together. Can we do this as one Offer?
No, the IRS will require two Offers: one for each spouse. It will not impact the overall Offer – the taxpayer\’s RCP will just be divided between the two Offers. What it will do, though, is require two application fees, unless the couple qualifies for the low income exception.
