Innocent Spouse Relief – We will review actual cases to see how to document and challenge a joint liability through an innocent spouse filing that gets accepted.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
Eric Green, Esq., LL.M.
Eric is a managing partner in Green & Sklarz LLC, a 22 person boutique tax firm with offices in Connecticut and New York. The focus of Attorney Eric L. Green’s practice is civil and criminal taxpayer representation before the Department of Justice Tax Division, Internal Revenue Service and state Departments of Revenue Services. He is a frequent lecturer on tax topics for many national organizations, including the AICPA, CCH, the NAEA, the NATP, the ABA Tax Section and the Connecticut Society of CPAs. Attorney Green has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Connecticut School of Law. He was the author and lecturer of the CCH IRS Representation Certificate Program, and has served as a columnist for CCH’s Journal of Practice & Procedure. He is the founder of Tax Rep LLC, an online coaching program for accountants and attorneys who want to build their own IRS Representation practices, and is the host of the weekly Tax Rep Network Podcast. Eric also founded the New England IRS Representation Conferences, one of the largest tax conferences in the country with several thousand attendees each year.

Roger is a national speaker on tax industry best practices who also consults with some of the largest tax software companies, accounting firms, tax resolution firms and the IRS.
Catharine O’Connor, Esq.
Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida since 2012, Catharine practiced exclusively in Tax Controversy for one of the largest tax resolution companies in the country, rising to become the senior resolution attorney. Over 10 years of tax resolution experience with hundreds of millions in tax debt resolved for delinquent taxpayers. Thousands of hours logged in call time with IRS collections agents, Revenue Officers, Settlement Officers and Revenue Agents. Highly experienced in working with complex, high debt taxpayers, including businesses with payroll tax issues.

- Understand how to evaluate exam issues at all points in the process and assist your clients in contesting incorrect balances.
