About Allie Petrova

allieAllie Petrova focuses exclusively on business and taxation matters. A broad base of knowledge enables Allie to view a matter from tax, business, and financial perspectives. She provides clients with strategic legal advice ranging from choice of entity analysis and formation, day-to-day matters, acquisitions, reorganizations, joint ventures, and exits. She handles tax disputes and represents individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service and in the U.S. Tax Court.
Attorney Petrova developed her tax and transactional expertise as a senior M&A tax consultant at Ernst & Young in New York City. In New York, Allie focused on complex tax structuring and planning for transactions of $5 million to $1 billion. She advised a wide range of domestic and international business entities. Before founding Petrova Law, she practiced corporate and tax law with Schell Bray PLLC in downtown Greensboro. Attorney Petrova has worked at the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Petrova received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, one of the top legal programs in the nation as reported by U.S. News. She completed her advanced tax law studies with an LL.M. in Taxation degree also from Georgetown Law. Ms. Petrova’s well rounded legal education includes an LL.M. in International Economic Law degree from a bilingual program at The Sorbonne in Paris. Attorney Petrova received her B.S. degree in Business Administration and Economics with a Finance concentration, summa cum laude, with departmental honors from Greensboro College.

About Eric Green

ericEric is a partner in Green & Sklarz LLC, a boutique tax firm with offices in Connecticut and New York. The focus of Attorney Eric L. Green’s practice is civil and criminal taxpayer representation before the Department of Justice Tax Division, Internal Revenue Service and state Departments of Revenue Services, as well as handling probate matters and estate planning for individuals and business owners and tax planning for closely held businesses. He is a frequent lecturer on tax topics for CCH, the NAEA, the NATP, the ABA Tax Section and the Connecticut Society of CPAs. Attorney Green has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Connecticut School of Law. He is the author and lecturer of the CCH IRS Representation Certificate Program, and he is a columnist for CCH’s Journal of Practice & Procedure.

Eric founded Tax Rep LLC to bridge the gap between the CCH Certificate Program and practitioners launching their own representation practice. Tax Rep LLC provides ongoing coaching and marketing support for those practitioners taking advantage of this very hot growth area in the world of taxation.
