In response to the pandemic Congress and the IRS have worked to try and help taxpayers and small businesses. Of course, the scammers and criminals have come out in force. Joining Eric on this week’s podcast is Kristina O’Connell, the IRS’s Special Agent in Charge of the IRS Criminal Investigation Boston Field Office. During the episode Kristina will discuss what types of frauds the IRS is seeing and what they and other federal agencies are doing to combat it. Kristina will also discuss what practitioners and taxpayers should be on the watch for to avoid becoming a victim.
