What happens if client data is entered into an AI tool?

Does your insurance policy cover AI-related mistakes?

70% of professionals now use AI at work, and accounting staff are no exception. This session unpacks the real risks of ad hoc AI use inside firms—and what leaders can do to protect themselves.

Rob Ferrini, Cyber Liability and Data Breach Response Program Manager at McGowan Pro Insurance, joins Chris Farrell, co-founder of Liscio, to demystify the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and insurance coverage. Drawing on real-world horror stories from the 40% of cyber insurance claims that are denied each year, you’ll learn how your firm can avoid costly gaps in protection.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how AI tools impact your firm’s cyber risk profile.
  • Learn common pitfalls that have impacted real-life firms and how to avoid them.
  • Learn how to align your technology stack with your liability insurance coverage and compliance needs.
  • Discover practical steps to reduce liability and ensure claim eligibility in your tax and accounting firm.

This not-to-miss expert discussion brings clarity to one of the most urgent challenges facing tax and accounting professionals today: how to navigate the emerging wave of AI-driven risk while ensuring your firm is truly protected. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of how cybersecurity, compliance, and insurance intersect—and what you need to do to proactively safeguard your firm, close insurance gaps, and confidently embrace technology without compromising trust or security.

Who Should Attend:
