What assets are exempt from IRS levy?

The IRS cannot levy certain essential assets, including:
– Necessary clothing and personal items,
– Unemployment benefits,
– Certain pensions and annuities,
– Child support payments, and
– A portion of wages equal to the standard deduction and personal exemptions (under IRC 6334).
These exemptions help protect a minimum standard of living.
