What must be included in an audit reconsideration request?

Your request should have:
– A clear statement of the items you disagree with, and
– Supporting documents (receipts, bank records, proof of deductions) that weren\’t reviewed during the original assessment.
Once the IRS issues an assessment, the burden now shifts to the taxpayer to prove the assessment is incorrect.
