What is the FTD Alert Program?

FTD (Federal Tax Deposit) Alerts are issued when the IRS detects missed or reduced payroll tax deposits. This system is designed to flag at-risk employers early and assign a Revenue Officer to investigate. The IRS has found that when employers realize the IRS has noticed the lack of deposits they often quickly get back into compliance, reducing the risk of these funds going unpaid.
